is a natural wine club managed by David Rodriguez and Victor Sanchez, two friends who love drinking wine without the additives they can’t pronounce.
Bummer Wines is devoted to sourcing creative, thoughtful natural wines made without chemicals, pesticides, or any of the nearly 200 additives that are legally permitted in mass-market wine production. Monthly club selections spotlight small-batch, family and minority-owned wineries that are transparent about their product, with special focus on wine from Latin America.
Traditionally, the natural wine world can seem exclusive, even intimidating. Bummer Wines seeks to provide a casual, “no fuss” vibe for both seasoned and budding oenophiles, striving for minimum pretentiousness and maximum enjoyment of the inherent, happy imperfections of each unique bottle.
The club is open to local Chicago residents, 21 and up.
